Historical note about Sacred heart church, payyoli
This Church built in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus here at Meladi,Payyoli was blessed on 24-06-1979. His Excellency, Most Rev. Dr A.M Patroni S J blessed it as he was the then Bishop of the Diocese of Calicut. Rev. Fr Joseph Edamaram S J the then Vicar General of the Diocese of Calicut was the man responsible for building this Church here at Meladi. The land (17 cents) on which the Church is built came to the Diocese of Calicut as a gift from Mrs.SreedhariRaghavan, Therese Villa, Badagara.
